Art Deco architecture is known for its clean lines, geometric features and frequent use of bold colours. It’s synonymous with the Gatsby era and the roaring 20s and exudes luxury, glamour and exuberance.
Although it was prevalent in Paris in the 1920s, the movement was only named “Arts Decoratifs” after it was exhibited at the Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs et Industriel Modernes (International Exhibition of Modern and Industrial Decorative Arts) held in Paris in 1925.
